Saturday September 15 with the Fiat Lancia Club!

Say good bye to summer with FLU and FIAT of Maple Shade, NJ!

Saturday September 15, 2012
3PM until 10Pm
FIAT of Maple Shade
587 RT 38 Maple Shade, NJ 08052

The weather looks to be great and we expect a large turnout!

We will have a car show open to all sorts of interesting cars (and plenty of Italian ones). Bring something new or old. There will be some drawings for prizes and maybe some prizes for best show cars. There will also be a fundraiser for a great charity. Test drive something new.

The service and sales areas will be open for all and there will be PLENTY of food available. Come and enjoy the company of other FIAT owners.

They just got a 2013 Abarth in stock and we are hoping for some autocross action in the back lot!

FIAT just confirmed Alfa return first quarter 2014 and Maple Shade is determined to be the first Philly area Alfa dealer!

Fall Tour 2012

Can’t believe that November and the DVAROC Fall Tour are again right around the corner again!
It’s time to put Sunday, 4 November on this year’s calendar.
Based on numerous favorable comments from last year’s tour, the plan is to basically re-do the route. The mileage will be about the same but will seem a little different because of the deviations due to closed road sections resulting from last year’s early snow storm- which won’t be repeated, hopefully.
Also new, in addition to the same “pit stop”, is a visit to the “Cane Farm Furniture” shop, for a little browsing/shopping for the ladies in the group (maybe someone can fit a nice cane sofa in an Alfa Spider or GTV!
The meeting/start point will be the same as last year, but initial tentative planning is for lunch at the Black Bass Inn, in Lumberville, PA along the river- just a few miles north of Stockton, NJ.
Additional details will be supplied as soon as final arrangements are completed.
Be sure to put the date on your calendar NOW- before you forget!

The good –

Only 108k miles, new clutch (and all associated parts- master/slave/throwout arm/bearing, fly wheel all done 100 miles ago) new exhaust (cat back) new battery, new tie rods, new rotors and pads, newer V rated tires.

The bad-

Mechanical- this car was running like a top in november 2010 when I was hit on the front drivers tire and panel (slight damage to panel does not need replacement, just some pulling and to remount base molding which will entirely cover any mars from pull out- see pic) which destroyed that sides suspension. So that will need control arm, strut, mounts and axel (I found these parts from an alfa salvage yard for 300$ can put you in touch and have a labor quote of 300$). Since its been sitting its not exactly purring like it was but I would expect that an injector clean, new plugs/cables and other tuning measures should correct as it was purring before the accident.

Exterior- clear coat gone and some paint bleaching but no oxidation or corrosion

Interior some seam seperation but otherwise the leather is in fair to good condition
