Members – Get Involved

The club is looking for member help in the following areas:

Getting Involved:

Staff Writers – folks who like to write, post content about their cars, club events, Alfa-related content, product reviews, etc. Content will be posted on the dvaroc.org site!

Photographers – anyone with a camera really! Pictures of your cars, photos of members getting together, heck, kids’ drawings of cars. We’ll post the pictures on the dvaroc.org site and host them on flickr.com/dvaroc.

Advertising – know anyone who would like to advertise on the club site? This new site uses web syndication as it’s core design philosophy. Content we publish here is reduplicated across the twitterverse, the friends network, tumblred and retumblred, youtubed, etc. So our reach is quite extensive. If you know of a company with Alfa-related products or services who might be interested, or who have that we can review

Club Coordination – please insert your ideas here ___________. For example, here’s a tech session idea: company sends us a Spider ECU chip upgrade (gratis), we do a tech session install so everybody can join in the fun, benchmark performance change for 3 months, write up a review. One lucky owner keeps the part, the club and the chip maker benefit from the association.

Looking for ideas:

Club logo design – fancy yourself a designer? Email mike@dvaroc.org with your ideas and we can update the club logo.

We’d like a T-shirt design for the club. Or several. Pins, buttons? We can bounce the ideas off the club membership roster and generate consensus to have something cool made.

Love to have a conversation with anyone who has just-in-time manufacturing, apparel, screen printing or embroidery contacts. If we’re going to make pins or shirts, let’s make the best ones we can for our money.

Looking for new members:

I’ve asked the AROC-USA president, Brewster Thackeray about developing some kind of membership card we can give to Alfa owners we meet who aren’t club members. Something with the national website and membership/join information as well as chapter identification printed on it. Throw a dozen in your glove box and hand them out when you see another Alfa. What could be easier or more fun than introducing yourself to new friends who have the same passion for these cars as we do?

 Let’s have some fun!

Awesome Autumn Alfa Tour

Special thanks to Alan and Jack for a terrific drive through New Jersey with a great collection of Alfas! The weather was perfect and so was the company. If you took photos during the drive or want to post your impressions, please email us at mike@dvaroc.org.

Thanks everyone who attended and again to our hosts and organizers, Alan and Jack. Another great event!

Welcome to the updated DVAROC site!

Welcome Alfisti!

We’ve been very busy updating the website recently- loaded in new features and tools to help keep the club more connected. Follow us through the evolution of this site, our goal is to make it easier to reach out to other members, to organize ad hoc club events, post lots of pictures and document the journey of alfa ownership.

Club members:

Let’s chat! We want to hear from you. We’re sending out some emails shortly to learn the preferences of our membership a little better, to find out what kind of events you’d like to attend, and align our agenda for the next year to what you want out of the club.

In addition to what’s become our standard means of communication, we’ve added a Facebook page, a twitter account, a youtube channel, a flickr account. Next up is feedburner/rss, and then a good calendaring application (with .ics file downloads and xml or icalendar subscriptions). We’re still doing some engineering to tie it all together so we can distribute the same message across all the channels (better chances of finding you wherever you hide online).
