The Spaced Out Italian Car Show

The spirit of Mike Space will live on this year as we celebrate the joy of Italian autos once again.  Reserve the date, June 7, 2014.  Now known as The Spaced Out Italian Car Show.   The location will remain at the bucolic Alfred  J. Fritchman Resevoir Park in Hellertown, Pa.

As Mike always intended, it will be a low key, laid back affair.  Lots of opportunity to mingle, schmooze, eat, enjoy music, and drink in the beauty of the automotive arts as practiced by the likes of Pininfarina, Bertone, Carrozzeria Touring, Vignale, Zagato, Guigaro,  Frua, and Ghia.  And that’s just the body work.  Beneath the skin there is more to marvel, admiring the intricate engineering for which the Italians are renowned.

There will be plenty of cars represented with support from the Delaware Valley Fiat chapter (formerly FLU) as well as the Delaware Valley Alfa group.  As in the past, there will be Ferrari, Lamborghini, and Maserati representation.  Motorcyclists can enjoy Guzzi, Ducati, and Aprilia.  The centerpiece of the show will be Mike’s collection of Lancias –  Aurelias, Appia, and Fulvia.

Feel free to make this a weekend event.  Following the show, there will be a drive sampling some of the tasty backroads in the area.  Choose from a host of fabulous dining experiences and top it off with entertainment in South Bethlehem, or enjoy an outdoor movie and the best ice cream you’ve ever had at the Inside Scoop in nearby Coopersburg.  After a Sunday morning group  breakfast, find your way back to the park to enjoy the British Car show put on by the Keystone MG club.  This is a long standing show drawing a nice variety of British cars from a multi state area.  The setting and vibe keeps participants coming back year after year. The Frosbite Run gives the members a chance to give back to the community, reminisce with old friends, and remember that the holiday season is about to begin.
