EVENT: 2014 Fall Tour – November 2nd

You can tell Fall is almost here again; it’s time to fast-forward the calendar to November and mark it to reserve Sunday the 2nd for the annual Awesome Autumn Tour of the DVAROC. The good weather we have been experiencing recently will of course, be expected for the event (fingers crossed!).
Alfisti and friends should plan on meeting, not later than 9 AM (keep in mind daylight savings time ends), in the parking lot at Peddler’s Village, behind the U.S. Post Office in Solebury/Lahaska, PA (same as last year’s tour). Again, the “Town Crier Bakery” will be open at 7 AM for coffee and pastries.
We will leave promptly at 9:30 AM and cross the river at Stockton, NJ, then travel roughly north and east up through Hunterdon and Warren Counties. The first break will be approximately one hour (35 miles) into the tour.
The plan is then to proceed back toward the river and south to spend about an hour break meandering in the historic town of Frenchtown, NJ. The tour will then conclude with what promises to be another outstanding luncheon, at the Black Bass Inn in Lumberville, PA, along the Delaware River. The pricing will be the same as previous years for a three course menu with a pre selected entree. Stay tuned for further details.
