Jon Kligerman found this great show on how the 4C is built:
The Smithsonian TV channel has a program called Supercar Superbuild and last night the program was on the Alfa 4C. It went through just how a 4C is built, from start to finish and I found it very interesting. The program is available to purchase, but you can watch a preview of it here:

I want to thank everyone who came out to La Locanda on Sunday, March 11th. It was great to re-connect and take a lovely afternoon off, from the cold and snow.

Our last driving event for the year will be our fall tour. We’ve rescheduled it to November 12th to avoid any Eagles’ fans’ conflicts – so now, you have no excuses!
This year, we’ll be visiting two wineries, as well as a cheese farm. After the second winery, we’ll drive a short distance to a local Italian restaurant for a late, Sunday lunch.
The club will meet at Wawa in Chester Springs – see map below – before 10:30am. There, you’ll be able to tank up on gas and coffee. We’ll leave promptly at 10:45 and drive to our first stop, Stone Barn Cellars Winery www.stonebarncellars.com where we’ll sample their wines and enjoy a few club provided snacks. Cost for wine tasting there is $10. From there, we’ll hit the back roads and stop at Amazing Acres Goat Dairy www.amazingacresgoatdairy.com where they’ve graciously agreed to give us a tour of their cheese making facility, and will let us enjoy their goats. After the goat farm, it’s back to some beautiful roads for a half hour drive to Manatawny Creek Winery www.manatawnycreekwinery.com for another sampling of Pennsylvania’s best wines, some more snacks, and maybe some goat cheese. Tasting at Manatawny Creek is $5, refundable with wine purchase. Finally, once we’ve finished sampling, we’ll take a short drive to Vincenzo’s www.vincenzosristorante.org for a Sunday meal together. You can check out the menu online – both Lunch and Dinner selections should be available.
Click on the map below to enlarge it:
The total tour length is only about 35 miles, but with stops, tours, tastings and pettings, expect to arrive for lunch around 2pm. You can find a map of the approximate route here: tour map.
There is no cost to participate in the tour. The club will provide some snacks to go with the wine tastings. Participants are responsible for the costs of tastings and lunches – from the restaurant’s menu.
If you want to attend, please RSVP to Bob Brady at: 302.420.6529 or preferably, firstname.lastname@example.org by Friday, November 10th.
Hope you can make it!!
Recognizing that November 5th might have some distractions for Philadelphia sports fans, we’re moving our Fall Winery Tour and Lunch to November 12th.
Look for more details shortly, but we’ll likely start at a cheese farm, then visit a couple of wineries, and finally finish for a late lunch together.
Please join us at this year’s DVAROC fall picnic, to be held again at the Brady’s in Unionville, Chester County. Join us atop our “petit mont” where you will enjoy breathtaking views of the Brandywine Creek valley while sharing a lovely afternoon among beautiful cars, and fellow Alfa enthusiasts. The event will take place on Sunday, October 15th and will start a little before noon. Gourmet lunches and drinks will be provided. A $10/person donation is requested to help defray a portion of the costs. Attendees are encouraged to bring blankets, chairs and Alfa Romeo related trinkets that can be given away as prizes.
In addition to the gathering of cars and Alfisti, we’ll have games, entertainment and the DVAROC will hold annual elections. If you are interested in running for a position, please contact Pat Carzo at email@example.com prior to the event.

Get ready for some summer fun!
The Delaware Valley Alfa Romeo Owners Club will hold our Summer Picnic and Rally at Ridley Creek State Park on Sunday July 30th. The event will include a fun rally, which should take less than an hour to complete, followed by a picnic in the park. You’ll have a chance to show off your car, demonstrate your navigation skills, and enjoy some good food and friends.
We’ll gather at Ridley Creek State Park at 10:30. Refer to the map below (click to enlarge):
After everyone arrives, we’ll go over the rally instructions and then have a Le Mans style start. The rally will take participants through some very pretty Chester County horse country. The course is designed to make for fun competition that won’t reward use of GPS or following another car.
The rally course will take less than an hour to complete. Once everyone is safely back to the park, we’ll enjoy some lunch together.
Picnic lunches – hoagies, salads and drinks will be provided. We’ll ask each participant to provide $10 per person to the club, to help defray costs.
If you want to attend, please RSVP to Bob Brady at: 302.420.6529 or preferably, email@example.com by Friday, July 28th so we can plan food and hand-outs, accordingly.
Hope to see you there!!
We’re rescheduling our Summer Picnic/Rally from July 2nd to July 30th. Have a great Fourth of July weekend and hope to see you on the 30th.
