Alfisti are reminded that the 2nd annual “Awesome Autumn Tour” (the first was last year!), scheduled for Sunday, 4 November, is fast approaching. Hopefully (fingers crossed), we can expect more nice weather with no nasty surprises like last year.
Those planning on participating are requested to RSVP to Alan Aptner, who has worked very hard to arrange for what promises to be a very nice end-of-tour (and did I say very attractively priced!) lunch at the Black Bass in Lumberville, PA, NOT LATER THAN Sunday, 28 October- at e-mail Alfamail654@gmail.com, or phone 215-321-8312.
At that time please let Alan know the following:
a- How many people in your party (total number), and
b- Whether or not you (and they) will be joining us for lunch at the Black Bass in Lumberville, at the conclusion of the tour, and, if so
c- Selection for each person (entree only) in your party (see menu selections below)
d- Cell phone and/or e-mail where you can be reached (cell phone number especially important on tour day)
Please note- This year participants will be required to be prepared to pay, either cash or check payable to Alan Aptner, on tour day (not before), prior to departure from the starting point. Once participants have committed to lunch (by 28 Oct), they will be obligated to pay, whether or not they actually attend. This is necessary because the club will be committed to the restaurant for the final head count.
The menu offered by the Black Bass is as follows (select on per person):
1- jumbo lump crab cake w/rice and one veggie (in season)
2- 8 oz. burger on roll w/double cheddar cheese and french fries
3- In-House Smoked BBQ Beef Brisket on chipotle brioche loaf (sandwich) w/fresh horseradish sauce and red cabbage coleslaw
4- House Caesar Salad w/choice of grilled chicken or shrimp
5- grilled chicken club sandwich w/side (of something TBD)
Total price per person is $25.00 per person which includes choice of one of above entrees, plus choice of coffee, tea, or soda, and also includes tip and tax. NOT included are wine, beer, liquor or other alcholic beverage and dessert; if any of these extras are ordered, they must be paid for at time of service.
